It is the band's first new album in eight years, since the release of their self-titled album in 2004. It also marks the first album with Nathan Walker on drums, replacing the late Allen Shellenberger, who died from cancer in 2009, and second guitarist Ryan Gillmor, making it the first time the band has recorded as a five-piece. ==Background== After the band put out their fourth album, ''Lit'' in 2004, the band was hit with a number of hardships. A. Jay and Jeremy Popoff's stepfather died in a motorcycle crash, also severely injuring their mother.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=lit )〕 While the band continued on with touring, eventually in 2008, the band's drummer, Allen Shellenberger, was diagnosed with a brain tumor, passing away a year later in August 2009.〔 After Shellenberger's passing, the band was unsure whether or not it would continue on.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=MP3 Download: Lit, 'Same Sh * *, Different Drink' )〕 The remaining members, during New Year's Eve in 2009, at the bar they run, "The Slidebar", came together and decided to continue on as a band and make a fifth album.〔 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「The View from the Bottom」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
